Vic Bhagat wordt nieuwe CIO EMC

Vic Bhagat (foto) wordt de nieuwe CIO bij dataopslagbedrijf EMC. Hij wordt bij EMC verantwoordelijk voor de onderdelen Information Technology, Global Centers of Excellence, Global Business Services en Indirect Procurement.

Vic Bhagat werkte eerder bij Accenture en General Electric (GE). Hij rapporteert aan Howard Elias, coo global enterprise services bij EMC.

Pivotal
Bhagat volgt Sanjay Mirchandani op die overstapt naar Pivotal Initiative, een nieuw bedrijf van EMC en VMware. Voormalig VMware ceo Paul Maritz leidt het Pivotal Initiative dat technologie van EMC en VMware combineert. In het Pivotal Initiative zijn VMware's platform-as-a-service (PaaS) oplossingen en EMC's big data oplossingen ondergebracht. Binnen Pivotal Initiative werken 600 VMware- en 800 EMC-werknemers.
